Aeron Sanchez
Research Software Engineer
I am a research software engineer at The Roslin Institute and University of Edinburgh working on epidemic modelling and analytics. My background is in physics having I received my MPhys from the University of Manchester in 2019. I originally moved to work on Covid-19 epidemic modelling in 2021 and have since worked on a range of both human and animal diseases including Bovine Tuberculosis and High Path Avian Influenza. During my time at the Roslin Institute I have been involved in a number of different projects for which I utilise a broad range of quantitative techniques including machine learning and computational simulation as well as more traditional mathematical and statistical modelling techniques.
My role at EPIC is to work with other members and provide software development and machine learning expertise across the wide range of research areas covered by EPIC.
